Regional Solar Initiatives

One of the main objectives of the Solar Roadmap is to help facilitate the standardization of solar processes across municipalities and, ultimately, entire regions. These efforts help reduce adminstrative time and costs for both government staff and solar contractors.Through JVSV's participation in the American Solar Transformation Initiative (ASTI) and the Solar Roadmap, the organization hopes to implement regional solutions that will bring about a market transformation to the area.

SEEDZ

The Smart Energy Enterprise Development Zone is a project that aims to build the country's highest-performance two-way power network by the year 2020. This initiative will unite energy customers, solution providers, municipalities, institutions, and utilities to achieve this goal.

Climate Task Force

The goal of the climate task force is to develop effective collaborative solutions for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from public agency operations and to provide a neutral forum for city and county government agencies and special districts to learn from each other and from others about climate protection programs.

Climate Prosperity

JVSV is working with business, government, academia, labor and the community to encourage the growth of our clean and green industries as they simultaneously reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
